One fast way to check what video card is to:
1) right click on desktop
2) box will show up
3) click on properties
4) click on settings
5) click on advanced (if there) or see what written in display rectangle box
6) click on adapter tab to see details

advise us of results for more information

Looks like it's an internal card installed with the system. I did a search and found some other users using the same card with Sim2 having slow screen problems as well. One of the solution is to disable the video card (via BIOS or on motherboard) and if you have an open AGP or PCI slot, install another card. Nvidia cards are good choice Geforce series on up. ATI card more prone to problems.
I could be wrong but will wait for another opinion.

GCL comments is correct, but what ever you do use the AGP port on the mother board with a new Video Card. I Pick up a Radeon ATI 9200 Card for $99 and it works fantastic. No need to spend a ton of money on a High End Card.

If you have a newer mother board the you should see several PCI slots like 3 and one AGP Slot kind of off lined up from the PCI Slots. AGP slots allows more dedication to the Video Graphics for faster processing.

Good Luck and Happy Flying

The color of the slot will let you know what you've got.
1) AGP slot will be a "brown" color
2) PCI slot will be a "white" color
3) Real old motherboards ISA slots are black.

The video cards can be 128mb on up and either brand. I prefer Nvidia's because of good software update and more compatible with softwares. I use it for Lightwave 3D graphics. CompUsa, etc can get such a card on sale for $50 or so.

Recommended:

* Nvidia GeForce3 and GeForce 4
* Nvidia GeForce FX series (5700, 5900)
* Nvidia GeForce 6xxx series
* Nvidia GeForce 4Go / FX Go / Go 6800
* ATI Radeon 9xxx series
* ATI Radeon X-series (X700, X-800)
* ATI Radeon Mobility 9xxx series

* Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 (These cards are Ok, but some model/scenery combinations might not run fast enough)

Not recommended !:
* Nvidia GeForce2 MX series
* All Matrox cards (the current line of Matrox cards is not compatible with AeroFly. There seems to be a driver bug that prevents AeroFly from working)
* ATI XPert / ATI All In Wonder / ATI Rage (this accounts only for the old 7xxx series. The 9xxx series is highly recommended!)
* 3DFX Voodoo1, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, Banshee
(The 3DFX company is no longer in business!)
* Any Intel integrated 3D-graphics controller
* S3-Pro Savage

By the way, most of the universal colors for the AGP / PCI are correct. Some companies (like dell) use their own proprietary colors, design, etc. Manual should also state what in system.

Dell sure do like there many colors. Look at the PS2 Ports and Inside the Mother Board. Many color Identified Parts for easy identification for dumb computer users. Maybe that is why dell is the leader in the PC industry.

Sorry for the dumb user comments but you know who you are.
