This might make my decision a little easier for my first car. If i'm unsure of the road condition, meaning pebbles, debries, would i wanna stay away from the belt drivin setup?

I'm not gonna be on a track, so should i stich with a shaft driven 4wheel drive car?

Like the TC3 vs 4-tec......

get the tc3, it will handle better and it is more suited for racing and it will probably go a little faster

omg. Tyhe ntc will not beat a .18 rs4 3 . The ntc3 goes like 46mph(rcca) and the rs4 3 .18 will goe about 50+ imo. Speed doesnt matter anyway, if ya cant get around the track you aint going to need speed.

Well speed is a factor for me, but handling would be nice also......My buddy has a OFNA buggy with a .26 and a single speed trans......Thing is so so fast its almost uncontrolable....I found a sweet deal on a tc3 .15 maybe i will grab it.....

Hmmmmmm

If your choice is between the 4tec and TC3, then go TC3. The plus RTR is really great for the $309. When setup it will handle. It's not always guarenteed to handle right out of the box. Heck my stock R40 hooked up better than it out out of the box. I drive in places fairly littered, but for the most part we have a lot of clean lots here. Still though with shaft you can get some debris stuck in the pinion/spur gears. That happened to my elec car even though it was shaft. Still thought nonetheless, for $309 with new suspension, .15 engine, 2speed, fully complete RTR with tools is a great price. Save more in the long run compared to the HPI.
