I just finished my "Corvette" (Old School) sport pattern plane 72" wingspan with an OS .61FX with a Mac Pretuned Pipe on the business end. My question is, the pipe did not come with a presure fitting or anywhere on the pipe indicating where it might go. could someone tell me where would be the best place to put it and since the wall is so thin, how to secure it.

Hey Zippi, it goes right in the middle of the pipe. The pipe tapers up to the thickest point and there is a flat spot about 1" before it tapers back down to the outlet. Drill the right hole and thread it with a tapl I added some blue RTV sealant to the fitting threads and base. There is a composite washer, make sure you get that on there as well. best if you add the RTV and thread in down onto the pipe barely finger tight then the next day snug it down tight and that will help form a better silicone gasket. Also, I think they have the directions for placement on the Mac's site

MAC's also sells a thin wall pressure fitting for those that don't want to tap the pipe, has a head on the fitting, got to fish throught the pipe from the inside then put a nut on the ouside. JB Weld works great as a loctight/sealer!
