I sure hope this is the right forum to find out where I might get my hands on a Royal 46 complete carb or just a needle valve and ratchet.

Anybody got any suggestions or a royal 46 in good shape hey want to get rid of?

Check with MECOA. Some of these are made by the same company that made some of the Royals. Also the Megatech carbs are supposed to fit.

I am wondering if you ever resolved you issue looking for carb/needle valve for the Royal46 engine....
I have the same problem... bought an engine and the needle valve was utilized in another engine... So far my only resolve is to go to Perry Carbs and get a replacement model. For about the cost of the engine!!!

Generally speaking the Royal engines were a direct copy of the current OS engines they emulated. Get an OS NVA and be happy.
