Today, my wife's cousin, while continuing her persuit to become a professional aviator lost her life.
Tammy Wilder was a energetic woman, 10 plus years as an American Airlines Flight Attendant, mother of three, wonderful wife and loving daughter, had a passion. To go from caring for the passengers in the cabin, to one day being the Pilot In Charge while safely transporting those same passengers she had given a smiling face and caring hand to.
Sponsored by fellow Cpts and First Officers of the company she worked for, Tammy persued her goal of one day being at the controls.

Today while building her multi engine time, flying out of Palomar California, she was involved in a fatal mid-air collision.
An only daughter with twp brothers, Tammy lived in the San Diego area.

My heart goes out to Tammy's husband John, and their three children.

Tammy will fly forever now.

Ray

My heart goes out to you and the families involved. I am a San Diego resident and I heard about the tragedy in the skies above Carlsbad...

I have no words to offer, but my next flight will be dedicated to those lost today.

Sincerily,
james

Thank you all for the kind words, and the private messages that were sent as well are all very comforting.

Now, I am waiting for the FAA report on the incident. Somebody slipped........
