I was laughing my ass off at the idiocy in this thread. About the only sensable statements are the above ones by gotime242. I would only add a few things to his comments. You can "shim" a wasegate actuator by moving it forward from it's mount to increase the preload on the spring (some actuators have threaded shafts and heim joints to do this) and this will raise your boost. Another method, and the most common one, for intercooler spray is a tank of water with a pump that sprays a mist onto the IC. The evaporation helps to alleviate the heatsoak of an intercooler that has had insufficient airflow, like at low speeds or when you have to stop at a light after a hard pull on boost.

A 180~200Hp civic is a fast car by average standards, probably competative with a car like my wife's boxer up to about 100 or so, straight line acceleration only. That is nothing to be ashamed of considering the cost of the car.

Those of you who claim to own 400Hp civics are very annoying to people who actually do own 400Hp plus cars. My 04 STI was 300 stock, and is an honest 500+ after comprehensive upgrades of the intake, turbo, IC, injectors, fuel rails, fuel pump, computer reflash, exhaust, etc. It will eat my Diablo alive up until 130 or so when drag and gearing favor the other car. I can't tell you how many dumb kids pull up next to me yammering about their 300 and 400Hp honda that has an APC intake and exhaust. Nobody believes you, nobody is impressed and as soon as you pull away people break down into hysterical laughter.

Well put.

Yeah i know its possible to shim the wastegate, but generally thats not how its done. 99.99 percent of boost increses are done with a boost controller (vac/boost source restrictor) may it be manual or electronic. To shim the wastegate would take 500% more time than adding a simple mbc. And you would have to re-do it EVERY time to change the boost. Ive never known of anyone to actually do that.

I acutally hooked my windshield sprayer jet pump up to a line and sprayer that sprayed the misted the water onto my i/c.
I dont have that anymore, but it was interesting for the time-being. My intercooler is so big now that i wouldnt be able to cover it all.

It is amazing how many liars and bull-**** talking idiots this "hobby" (car enthusiasts) will attract. Why out of all the hobbies out there do people in this one feel it is most important to try to make yourself look better and lie to everyone about what you have, or have done. People need to do more research, and talk less.

I know that if he runs much more boost, he'll blow the welds on his intake.

a innercooler sprayer sprays nos on your inner cooler to make it cooler for cooler intake air. Nos, well, some one said allready, put it in your engine by wet shot, through injectors or dry shot, through you intake, take your pick, not sure if some one answered this yet, but here it is.

WRONG. lol, didnt you read anything above?

First off...its an INTERcooler..not an inner cooler. Secondly, wet kits spray through your intake, just as dry kits do. The only difference is that wet kits spray fuel as well, (through the same nozzel) that mixes with the nitrous that was sprayed at the same time. Dry kits simply spray nitrous alone, which give the injectors the respondsibility of adding the matched amount of fuel.

I wish the day would come when people would stop giving out wrong information.

What is the difference between the ntercooler sparyer and just a regular nos system?
I have a turbo on my civic and im thinking about getting one so i was just woundering.
And which one is better?

The difference between and ntercooler sprayer and the Nos system:
1. ntercooler sprayer= makes the intercooler drop temperature
NOS= is like a gas that combust in a high temperature making more power or push for the motor

2. ntercooler sprayer= is water/ mixture of water and alcohol = Ethanol
NOS= Gas highly combustible

i hope i helped

Just FYI;

1. They have N2O based intercooler sprayers.

2. You can inject Ethanol in to your motor in order to increase the octane level.

3. N2O is NOT COMBUSTIBLE it is INERT the nitrogen and oxygen separate at 500+ degrees and frees the oxygen allowing you to burn more fuel.

If you do not know what your talking about just STFU about it.

99% of the people who participated in the thread already knew that.

it says NON-FLAMMABLE right on the freaking bottle
, just like the bottles of compressed air that I use at work
Somebody's never messed with nitrous:P
