Hey NITROSENSE, nice new toy you got there Im jelous. I almost orderd one of thoughs from my hobby shop but never did Let me know what you think of it after you test her out! I know in my opinion im not a big fan of thoughs tires. They just dont look very raceable. Look more like a basher tire. Any way have fun with it!!

wow nitrosense you got the hellfire!!! it looks sweet. would be very interested in how that thing goes on the track. i would also like to know what hop ups you have in mind for it too. any news on the kanai trugg kit?

Jeffro i think its my fault we havent spoke in so long. i been busy resigning from my job and getting a new one plus i went on holidays for a bit too so i havent been on in ages. i feel really relaxed after my holiday tho lol. i rode a honda 400 quad on my holidays too. damn was that fun. took it up a 100 foot sand dune!!!
after that i want a quad or a bike... lol

well in my rc world i will be picking up a caster zx-1 pro soon and converting it to a truggy with an msr kit. im also gonna be getting a cmb rs pro off massivemods to power it so it should be a screamer of a trugg
i'll let you all know when i get it and i'll post pics of it too!!!

well truggies are made more for racing.. i would say a Hb pro version is best.. in the time ive had mine ive only broken like 50$ in parts on it.. and mine is one of the 1st shipment ones..

i agree 100% with this statement...

i have ran about 1 gallon through this truggy, i have ran this thing HARD..it handles well..i had all sorts out on the track, buggy's monster trucks..1/10, 1/8 and even other truggy's...i literally was at the track for 3 hours running this thing and NOTHING broke...except i got one tear in a fuel hose...i cut the hose and reconnected it...and i was back on the track...if i would have brought more gas...i would have been out there longer...lol but i was getting hungry, so i left.

like what was said its a fantastic truggy for the money, racing or not. JMHO.

i ordered my lightning pro-r at my lhs and will pick it up friday. i also had them get me the rb concepts c5, did i make the best choice for racing in a truggy or should i go with a .28?

have not drove it yet. its got soem neet things.. and some annoyances like to get the electronics out takes a good 30 min to just get them out.. it has 4mm cap head screws that are self tappinf/wood screws, there is alot of slop where things need shimmed, th eball ends onto balls are all loose, the shocks are hpi specific size so hpi only springs can be used, the radio box is not water tight, you cannot fit a p5 into it without modding the purple engine plate, so that means ws7II and other engines will have the same issue, the engine mounts are a odd ball size, kyohso might fit, but my mass supply of hb ones are a no go, basically it is a hpi only parts truck.. nothing else will fit and their tolerances in my opinion are way too losse for a truck ment for racing..

the instructions are nice.. they copied the x-ray in the fact it explains what set ups do.. and this and that adjustment..

Man I am surprised there is a big snag list like that. I am very surprised HPI didn't learn the lessons about electronic accessability from the Savage, and to have stuff that is brand exclusive is just dumb!! I really thought this was going to be the truck to beat this year. Do you think these things will be addressed by HPI and put down to early production hicups?

i hope they tighten the tolerances of the ball ends..

aftermarket will adress the radio set up but i can pull all the electronics from a savvy in under 10 min.. its quite simples vs the hellfire..

the giant monster gt wheels are killing my batterys so i thought smaller wheels would make them last a little longer
