Looking to do an inexpensive truggy conversion for my Kanai 2. I have the tires worked out but would like to know if I can drop another companies center diff in it that has a larger spur gear. My only concern is the gear ratio. Will a lsp or x1-crt diff fit? Maybe the spur gear can be used with my Kyosho diff?
thanks

I just bought the gs storm truggy and im wondering if any one could help with some quick ideas on what should be done right away for improvements. The thing really does rip out of the box but i know it could be better please help. Also I have a ofna ultra comp lx any ideas for that.

Personally, I would lose the a-arm extenders. I have switched them out for 1" offset Ofna dish wheels but you could also invest in the Native Racing Tomahawk suspension kit or alternatively, adapt the arms from the Hotbodies truggy to fit. I would add though, these are not 'essential' upgrades and out of the box the kit is extremely capable of fast laps. You may also find the article in this link quite useful. http://www.gsracing.com/gsracing/teamgs/SUT%20team%20building.htm

Hi Jeff and Petrol, ...Where did everybody go??

STILL HERE NITRO!! Just popped in this morning to liven up this thread a little , since we haven't had any posts for a while. NICE work on the HELLFIRE MATE!! That thing is beautiful!! That Carbon Fibre deck is sweet looking too. I'm still running my Kanai Truggy , and still doing little things here and there to improve the way it handles and so on. The truck is pretty dialed , and hopefully myself and the truck can do halfway decent this next summer. I'm painting up a couple Mugen Truck bodies for it right now , to match my 1/8th scale bodies "Luck" over at ShopUFO360 painted up for me last year. They are turning out pretty good i think , but man , i gotte give him credit.......that guy is an artist !!

And what's up Petro , CRSMP5 and all the others?? BTW......what ever happened to Crazychris??......i never see him in here any more?

Oh yeah...here in the next few weeks , i'm gonna start on a new project truggy. I'm making a little longer extended chassis for one of my old Mugen MBX XR works buggies. These buggies have been the toughest buggy i have ever owned as to date , so making one into a decent competitive truggy is inevidiable...HAHA!!.......should be fun anyways.
