Does anyone have an easy way to make the "P** B**" decals for the bottom of the wing on a profile? The BIG letters. Out of Monocoke or whatever.

If you kave a computer or access to one, print out the letters as large as you need them. Lay the print out over your choice of monokote, then cut through both the printout and the covering. Presto you have your letterings...

To follow up on Danny's post, lay the two pieces (the monocoat and the template you printed on the computer) on a piece of glass large enough for the 'decal' to fit on without bending or overlapping, then cut the letters out using a very sharp (read - new) single edge razor blade. Buy a 10 pack of blades (they are cheap) cuz the glass will defiintely dull the blade after several uses. Cut straight and perpendicular to the surface for a nice even straight cut.

Adding to the above techniques, here's something I read and think makes things easier. Instead of printing on plain paper, you can get adhesive printer paper (labels, but the big ones, A4 size), which you print and stick on the monokote backing. It is much easier to cut when the paper is glued on, and when you take the backing of the monokote the paper comes off with it. Just remember, since you're cutting from the back side, to print the letters mirrored. You can do that with any drawing program, even with Windows Paint. Unless you want the other pilots to be able to read what's on your plane through their rear-view mirrors
