I was flying my bill winter special, now half a fus, when the lazy bee in front of me did a loop. He came right down in front of me and we hit. I tore 3/4 of the rudder off, 1/3 of the wing.

The little bee flew back and landed about 5 foot off the run way. It didnt even phase my plane.
The damage to mine was a ding in the leading edge and scrathes on my wheel pants, losend them to.
If he had landed on the runway, we think I would of got it again.
I felt sorry for the guy and said sorry about 100 times and offered covering for it and anything for it. what did he say?

" Dont worry about it, wansnt anyones fault. We just found the same air space. In fact it was the funniest thing ive ever seen."
That made me feel so much better.
Has anyone else managed to hit such a small plane????

hmm im seeing a new form of combat.

Kill the lazy bee before your opponent does.

Thatd be fun.... have someone fly the target, and a bunch of others chasing, then who ever kills it is the new target.... like tag!

youd have to be rich though...

kill the lazy bee!

lol thats basically it. only we were the 2 ones only up. right now i fly a lazy bee and love it, for all you lazybee flyiers try this
taxi to the middle of the runway. give full rudder on high rates, not elevator. put the sticks in the top right of left hand corner. put the trottle to it and youll do little donuts on the runway. Ivce done this and carried on a conversation while doing this. make sure no one is flying though. It impresses people and they try to do it with bigger planes. dosnt work.

had a little trainer that I could spin around like this... would give it full rudder and about half throttle then a tad of down ... when the tail came up i would "fly" the tail so as not to tip over but keep it off the ground.

it would sit there and spin around and the one wheel sat there like it was stuck in a hole..

I do mine before takeoff, I try to exit the donuts and head straight down the runway. Ive had people dive bomb me while I was on the runway doing donuts, of course, this guy loves to chase me to.

I was reading through the forum and came across this one. Sorry this has nothing to do with crashing. But the person that taught me to fly told me the lazy bee would not be a good first kit to build. I have a trainer that was an arf and another plane (a modeltech dragon lady 40) that i bought also from my trainer that was already built. I was wondering if those of you who have built it, had trouble, and if a beginner who has some experiance in covering, sanding, and using CA could build it. And also, if it does well in small fields. thank you

I bought mine from a friend built. From what every one says, its a pain to build. They are making a ARF version of the lazybee now, If I was to get another, I would get the arf. THere alot of fun once you learn what your lazybee can do.

A buddy and i were flying our crazy max's in formation / mock combat. I pulled up, went inverted, came screaming out of the split s and suddenly a blue streak from the left... and my plane exploded! well it seemed to! A 180 powered Edge hit me with its leading wing. The radio was salvaged, the wing was intact, the tailfeathers were completely gone as was the motor unit!
oh well! another fusealge and its back in the air!

Hey there Dago Red" is that a OS 20 FS in your bee?
That is what I have mounted in mine and was able to find another new in the box. From the time I hand launch my bee till about 10 minutes after the flight I laugh. This little bird has made me remember this is a "Fun" Hobby".

I have a OS .26 on the nose. its a old engine. But runs good. my trade mark with this bird is to do donuts before takeoff and the go down the runway and take off. people love it.
