Here's a link to my new body for the genesis. I hope I can post these links in here.
I see it's only pics for the MT2, so if i can't let me know and I will take them away.

fred - ive heard conflicting stories from different ppl on this one, some say not a prob, some say no way... so does anyone have pics of a tmaxx shell on a funfactor?

tridi - did u use 17mm hexes and an adapter to fit the buggy wheels? they look to have a pretty rare offset if they are mounted the right way round...

the t-maxx body will fit on the cen MT2... I tried my old maxx body on the mt2 and it fit perfectly... the wheel wells seemed to line up better... the only negative was the maxx body was a little longer... If you go with a maxx only body, not a maxx/savage body, you should be good...
here is a picture of my usa-1 with a maxx body next to my cen mt2... they are very close in size

excellent stuff thanks...... another quick question if anyone could help.... i think the clutch has broken on my st2 because the engine wont turn the pinion gears and the clutch makes a bell sounding noise when i try turning the wheels?! any ideas?.... also i cant get the screw off that holds the 2 pinion gears and the clutch bell in place.... is it a left hand thread?

thanks

use a little heat to soften the loctite and remove like a regular screw.... check the clutch spring and also the flywheel... they sometimes come loose... when you replace the clutch bell screw, use a socket head instead of phillips.... it wont strip...

thanks cenracer... ive managed to get the screw off and discoverd that the clutchbell and pinion gears spin seperatly.. so, with a little help, we have welded the pinion gears and clutchbell tight together.

keep the pics comin in everyone!

The tires and rims is Ofna (got from Hyper 7 kit). I use the CEN wheel stopper and put some plastic resin to the rims. It seems that plastic resin is not strong enough to handle it. I plan to make a 17 mm steel adapter. With the 44/47 spur gear and 15/18 clutch bell, top speed is faster compared to when I use Dirt Hawg II or Geolandar (with 2.2" rims). Handling, litlle bit "flying" in straight line, I am looking for rims with positive offset to get wider track. Cornering tend to have over steer, I think I need to make toe and camber adjustment in both front and rear (+1 or +2).

I've learned a lot form this forum over the past year or so. Thanks for everything. I thought I'd post some pics of my MT2 and the bodies I found that worked out well. The Digger body is a Parma 1/10th and the Silverado is a Proline Stampede. They both went on real smooth. I hope the pics work show up. This is my first attempt.

That is a great looking truck, what modifications have been done? What shocks are you using on it?

Hi Scouser, Thanks for the compliment. The shocks are Hot Bodies threaded aluminum for a t-maxx ($18 a pair through RCBoyz.com). I had to adjust the travel on the front cylinders with fuel tubing but the rears went on just fine. I used a fairly soft Hot Bodies spring with 40 wt silicone shock fluid all the way around. I used the FFS006 long aluminum pivot balls to mount the shocks to the stock towers. I just had to dremel the ball end down to fit the Hot Bodies shock caps. Kinda tedious but worth the effort. The pipe is the CEN Aluminum hop-up from stock. Really didn't notice a performance difference but it looks cool. The New Era roll-bar was worth every penny. It stiffened the chassis and gives a great place to grab the truck and sling it across the yard when the spur gear strips out. Just Kidding. It is a must have. I put a hop-up cooling head on it but never could get the motor right with it installed so I switched back. A couple of other add ons were Hitec 325HB throttle servo, Hitec 5625MG Digital steering servo, chrome CEN rims, metal brake disk w/plug and an Airtronics MX-3 setup. Getting the digger body to fit in the rear took some rigging. I used plastic gutter spike covers to join two stock body posts together and make a long one. It actually works quite well and was easy to do. This truck just sold on ebay. Got kinda expensive keeping it, my T-maxx and my Genesis going. It had to go. I think the Genesis is next! My wallet is telling me electric is the way to go. Thanks again to everybody who shares information in this forum. It has been a great help to me and I'm sure many others!
