i'm getting a used savage .25 thats currently being run on 30% nitro fuel. i have a lot of 20% nitro fuel that i don't want to waste. is it safe to switch to 20% nitro if i break it in again? or should i get a new sleeve/piston? it's not impossible for me not get 30% nitro it's just that i don't want to waste the fuel i have now. thanks for any help.

It's quite safe to change to any fuel you want to use and it's quite unnecessary to do any break in. Just fill the tank, start it up and retune. Going from 30% nitro to 20% you'll find it's running a bit rich before you retune.

Dont worry dude. I switch nitro conetns all the time. Some days I will buy lower nitro% and some days i'll buy higher nitro%.
I have ran 10%,15% and 20%. And I have actually downgraded (in that same order). Engine runs excellent, all you need to do is tune the engine right and you should be all good.

Good luck.

I've yet to see a problem.

Your going closer to stock settings/recommendations, so check out www.hpiracing.com because they have all their instruction manuals available on the web site.

You can go with the recommended plug and you might need a minor adjustment to the carb. Maybe. Nothing to lose sleep over.
