Hi All,
I'm new to Heli RC. I'm not familiar with what the purpose is of having a check valve on the YS61st2 engine between the backplate nipple fitting and the fuel tank. Is this because the engine has a built in fuel pump?

I'm used to car engines, just plumb it to the exhaust pipe and go.

I got this engine used without the check valve. Can I run it without the check valve? If not what direction does it run?

The owners manual also says to only use a YS check valve. What's the kick? Can I use an aftermarket one?

Also, where is a good place to plumb in a T-fitting for a refueling line?

Thanks Guys!

Oh yeah,

I also have a HAtori 666 pipe with this engine mounted on my Freya.

I noticed that the fuel pressure line is right at the header where it comes out the engine?!?!
I'm used to seeing the fuel pressure fitting being on the actual pipe itself. Does this change anything in regards to setup?

Won't the exhaust at that poin be to hot and possibly ignite the fuel in the tank?

Thanks again!
Aaron

With the YS you DO NOT use muffler presure, just seal off the hole. Route the line with the checkvalve from the backplate to the pressure fitting on the gas tank, and the fuel line to the engine.
