I just recently acquired directions to a field near vancouver that is used to fly heli's. I havent flown my raptor yet, but I have registered with AMA and am at the point that I believe I am ready to fire that bad boy up an watch it go. Since I know nobody there..actually since the field is about 2 hours from me..its gonna be kind of a hit and miss thing to find people there when i get there...the first time anyway.....what I would like to know is, what would be the best way to approach someone for help..what would be ther best way to hook up with someone there..( i read the message about the guys to stay away from) Basically , is there any preffered method of getting a little help from folks at the field? Any advice on how to go about it?? like should i bring a bottle of J.D. and sit it by the bird?? haha thanks....Tom

Yeah..the guys that are into heli's down at Tammies are a pretty good group of guys...Craig or Rob actually told me about the field between portland and vancouver...clark county fairgrounds i think...they are just so swamped down there, that when i go in for help...I always space out asking them things like this...thanks again though for the advice...Tom

Sure, give me notice and I can meet you at two different fields if you like, got to have ama though, I am not super good but am very comfortable at inverted grass cutting.
