I prefer not to idle much, but to start to drive around and break-in at varying throttles (WOT not neccessary yet). This way the temperature builds up faster. Your engine should be fine. How long an engine lasts depends on how you look after it, not just run-in. Eg:Use good fuel, clean filter(s), tune it correctly, don't rev-out for long periods. I buy my fuel from a shop next to an rc racetrack. The shop sells quality items (novarossi,rb,serpent..)and the owner and his customers race at championship levels. If the fuel is good enough for their expensive mills, it's definately good enough for mine.
