Although some people might be against the idea, I reckon a simulator like realflight G3 would be ideal for your situation. Before each time I go out to use my heli, I spend half an hour practicing and it really does work for me. You get to master the orientation elements as well as the handling of a heli without damaging a real heli. I know how your feeling about it though, you want to do these things but are worried about the crashing side of things! So really my advice is to perhaps obtain a simulator and take things one at a time. Or you could even consider flying lessons as another resort if in doubt.... A good resource I have heard many people talk about is the Radds school of heli-flying, that might be of some help to you. The Lipo battery idea sounds really good but that will cost a fortune because of needing alot more cells than a usual sort of lipo (2 or 3 I think, could be wrong!) hope this helps you mate. cheers, Ian
