Baker - Get yourself a comfortable chair for when you build the MW AT-6. There is a lot of building on that one! I don't still have mine, but I remember how much time it took to build. It's not a difficult plane to fly, but it isn't the easiest landing plane I've ever had. Can be difficult to get it set down without a bounce or two. I've seen that some people have incorporated flaps. They say it made a big difference landing it. If there isn't already a thread for it you'll want to start a separate thread rather than continuing the discussion here on the Patty thread.

Does anyone have a Canopy left over from a Patty that is still good and not being used ?

Mine met with an accident and I could use another.

Any help would be gladly compensated

    Hey Guys,
I removed the detent ball and spring from my DA50 Walbro carb.
I'm going to operate the choke with a servo in my GP Patty Wagstaff.
I should have taken a picture.
I can't seem to get the ckoke plate in the right spot.
Any close up pitures out there.
    Thanks, Bob

Call DA--they will be more than happy to help you get the carb back together.

I had the same problem. Make sure the stab is centered, and paralell to the wings. I used 30 min Epoxy, centered the stab and let it dry for a few hours before I continued working.

Call Great Planes and complain. They may send you a new plane. Of course you would have to send the one you have back to them. Try it, all they can say is no.

It's pretty easy to take care of. I had to do this to two of my Pattys. When I set the incidence, I found that I had to sand the opening bigger in places which caused a bigger gap. It'll be a two step process. Just take a couple like 1/4" X 1/4" X 1" pieces of balsa and stick them in the gaps after you have your stab where you want them. These pieces may be too small or too big so cut them the size that you need. Just shim the gap every so often with the balsa sizes you need. Use 30 minute epoxy and coat each of the shims as you pull them out and reinstall in the same place you took it out. Make sure you stick the wooden pieces in a little beyond the flush area of the stab cutout. After that (the shims) has set, just fill the rest of the voids with 30 minute epoxy mixed with microballoons.

Folks, if there were a way to combine the two Patty threads I would do it in a heartbeat. However, because I can't do that I'm going to close this one down in favor of a more active thread on the same topic.

Please CLICK HERE to continue your Patty conversations. Thank you.
