I just viewed EF video and the opinion expressed was that high speed digital servos are a must for 3-d.(the plane was EF 68" Yak).
What do you think about that and also, about how many flights per week is needed for practice to get good enough at 3-d to do the maneuvers safely.(I dont mean competition level, just good enough to put on a good demo).

Hi,

I think quick servos, preferably digitals, are nessesary for GS airplanes, and smaller aerobatic Gas and Glow airplanes. However, Its all in your oppinion, and what suits the way you like to fly. Digitals are much more precise and have better holding power. If you want to fly more Precise and Quick 3D manuevers, Fast, preferably Digital servos help a lot. The increased speed and torque make the surface feel much more effective, and move that much faster, which gives the entire airplane a much more "There" feeling.

Practice varies from pilot to pilot. To remain proffecient practice atleast 8-10 flights a week. But this may vary depending on your reflex's and skill level.

Thanks,
Josh Glavin
