Welcome I too am new to buggies. I wanted to start with a more moderate buggy though. I bought a JAMMIN' X1. So far I love it and already have put Monster trucks on the back burner. Buggies are the greatest, will be getting a high end buggy this summer(Prospect, XB8, or 777 SP1) still haven't decided.

I live up in Canton which is north west atlanta.

I just got started in 1/8 buggy with only 1 race so far and love it.
I am planning to race a lot at rodslingers http://www.boyztoyzrc.com/btoffroadindex.htm
Planning to race some at sugar bowl http://sugarbowlrc.com/
and finally Toys for Boys www.tfbraceway.com

I hear there is going to be a new track in alpharetta but can't find any info on that. Hopefully someone here will know.

This is my MP777 SP1

Cool man your pretty close. Theres a big race this weekend but with all the rain I have no Idea if they are going to shut it down or not its in griffin. Its part of the rc pro series Heres a link to that http://www.rcproseries.com/divisions/east/2005/round2/rd2index.php .
I am not ready to race this weekend though so far I have been just messing around with racing locally. The track is small.
But I think that I am going to try out to this intermediate race in charlotte NC in july 9-10 who knows maybe we can go up there and meet.
Heres a link to that race http://www.rcproseries.com/divisions/east/2005/round3/index.php

Go to rodslingers this weekend and race the pro series in the sportsman class you will love it. That track is so awesome just take a set of Crime Fighter M2's and you will be set. The rain should stop tonight and make for perfect racing this weekend. I already had a vacation planned so I am not able to go (dahm wife and in-laws)

I think the Jammin is pretty high end. Just because it's not as expensive as the Xb8, Prospec, and XB8 doesn't mean that it's not as good.
