Well, I flew my # 4 tonight. Didn't have much power. I think I fried my battery when I left it on for too long. Also noticed that my tail was shaking a lot. After a closer look I realized that the tail boom has cracked slightly towards the rear motor. I still got a couple of good hovers out of it before the battery went down. I think I will try to go with the aluminum tail boom. I think I've seen some posts on here about that. In addition I am going with aluminum skids b/c of my crash the other day. I put some jb weld type stuff on the break and it is holding well, but I still would like to upgrade. So, I'm going to do both of those and get a Li-Po and see what I've got after that. I think I'm really starting to get the hang of the hover and it is quite fun and exciting. Can't wait to get the upgrades. Any pointers with any of these issues would be appreciated. Also nice to see there is a good parts source posting on our thread. Makes it easier for us. Talk to you all later.
    Mike

I just ordered a few parts from Parkflyer and, as usual, the next day I can see I should have ordered something else. Looking at this picture, can anyone see anything missing?

Don't feel bad, my main frame has broken back by the tail boom. Seeing how nothing seams to glue this type of plastic I will be ordering a new frame soon. If I could find a metal frame id use it. I know there would be more weight, but being a beginner, would also hold up better during my not so gracefull landings. OK they are controlled crashes.

That's right. You and Parkflyer saw it right away, but I didn't know any better. I bought this used ($50) and that's the way it came. It looks great, but things were missing. The ball on the Rotating Frame is gone, so I didn't think there was supposed to be another link. I ordered a bunch of parts from ParkflyerRTF (my 3rd order from him) and one of them was a new Rotating Frame. I ordered it because one of the set screw holes is a little stripped on mine, then I noticed the other ball on the picture of the new one. If I'd have seen this yesterday, I would have added a short link to my order

It also didn't come with collars on the flybar, so I got those. The swashplate didn't come with a brass ball, so I ordered another swashplate because it's the cheapest way to get the ball. It didn't have the head stiffener, so I ordered a new head with one and while I was at it, I ordered another main gear so I'd have the updated one with the metal bottom.
Even in the condition it was in, I was able to do a stable hover for a few seconds at a time, and I'm a beginner. With the upgraded parts, I hope it's easier to fly. I want to feel comfortable with this before I try flying my DF36.
Where can I find metal head parts for this?
