    The Esky & E-flite 4in1s are made for 11.1v but the DF4 4in1 isn't.

Huh? As far as I can tell, the Walkera 4in1 and the Falcon40 4in1 are exactly the same board (I've repaired both), and I've been running a 3s lipo through my Falcon40 for a couple of months now without and problems. Ok, I did blow the main motor MOSFET, but people running with the stock NiMH battery blow that chip as well. And I've found a drop in replacement which can handle 20A (the original MOSFET can only handle 10A).

By the past respones about this, I'd say about have the people that have run 11.1v in their DF4 4in1s have fried it, and have get away with it. Some guys piggy-back mosfets.

I agree that there's more of a chance to blow the main motor MOSFET when running 11.1V, but it shouldn't fry the rest of the board. There's a 5V low drop out voltage regulator which can handle 14 or 15V (and which mostly drives the servos), and there must be a 3.3V regulator in there somewhere (but I haven't been able to find it yet), which seems fine with 11.1V

    Just my 2cents...

The Esky & E-flite 4in1s are made for 11.1v but the DF4 4in1 isn't. The E-flite motors are available with either 9 or 10T pinions (DF4 motor is 10T only, but all the motors are Mabuchi 370s). Using a 9T will give less head speed, but the motor runs cooler and won't won't draw as many amps through the 4in1. You can use 11.1v with your setup. If it's too much for you to handle, use the motor with the 9T pinion. It'll tame it down a little.

Thanks. I think i'll invest on an 11.1V battery for my #4. I'm also adding a HH gyro (from my B400) to my #4. It'll be like a CPP, but with fixed pitch.

i have not been able to find much about separates. im wondering if i can take a blade cp's 4-in1 tx and rx and use all this, instead of walkera's electronics. right now, i cannot figure out how to get the blades electronics to not move all the cervos at once. its for a collective pitch heli, and i want to know if it will work on a fixed pitch.

The Blade CP transmitter can't work with a fixed pitch heli.
The collective coupling is built into the software in the transmitter.
You can use the Blade CP 4-in-1 and another transmitter.. Futaba or Hitec with a fixed pitch heli.

The problem is that the Blade CP Tx does CCPM mixing. See if there are DIP switches under the batteries. If so, I believe the CCPM mixing can be disabled with certain switch settings.

He is trying to start selling them and I dont think he will have much of a problem. They are awesome canopys and are lightweight fiberglass. Here are some pics.

Also, I am in need of a new set of the stock landing gear. Does anyone want to let one go for cheap? thanks!

I'm new to helis & this forum.

I've had the Walkera 4-1 2 days. I could use a little help already I'm afraid. It "got away" from me & hit a tabl
