Hi all Can anyone help me I just got this TX set and all looks great with it Iwant to use it on my DF4 put I cant get the RX to work so I order another one and the same thing. What I need to no is do I have to use a BEC with this RX to power it. Becase I an running a BL 3000kv 30a ESC with it now using a 22e RX and my old 36df TX also changed to a beltdrive tail runs and flys great. Now I want to use this TX and RX set up but I cant power the RX running the ESC through the RX. You get what Iam tring to say. Need Help if I cant get it to work what other RX can I use Because tried the DF RX it wont work with it

You should be able to change your radio system to a new one as long as you change th RX from a walkera to one that will work with the TX. Look at the mods ive done to my DF4. The only thing walkera on this thing now is the main frame, canopy, main gear and the few silly plastic bits that make up the head gear.

Tail boom: Superskids Titanium tail boom (4.95mm x 267mm),

Rotor core: Aluminium SimonD custom rotor core,
Rotor holder: SimonD Aluminium prototype rotor holder (a one off!)
    Flybar: Century aluminium flybar,
Flybar paddles: Century lightweight flybar paddles,
Main motor: 4200KV Brushless fitted to a Powerzone V1.3 adaptor and Xtreme 11t pinion,

I used wire zip ties to attach mine. And just for info, when you are done with the training gear, the rods are the same size as the flybar.Just cut them to length. As far as learning to fly.It takes time and practice.Slow and easy.Have you tried Radd's yet?You can google Radds flying school or something like that.He wrote up a good system. And a flight simulator also helps. The worse thing you can do right now is lose your temper. It takes time to learn to fly??? one of these things. But it is worth it.

    Hey drobin!

I tried ties in different two places & they kept sliding off. Did you put the training gear through the skids or under them? They didn't seem to fit well through the skids. But I haven't done anything right yet! LOL My training rods are almost twice as big as the flybar rod. If I put a lot of pressure trying to get them on I can easily deform the Super-Skids.

Practice would be good if I didn't break the heli 15 or 20 seconds into each attempt! I did Radd's but whatever mystical property between battery 9 & 10 I was supposed to get never happened to me.

I've used 4 or 5 different helis with FMS & none of them move like my #4-1 in those seconds I've tried to fly it. I know I'm missing something & I need to find IT, whatever IT is!!! I can't stand watching the videos any more I'm so envious of you guys who found IT! LOL

I almost gave up this weekend but decided I will not be beaten by a $89 toy! (at least not yet).

    Chuck

Hey Mcflyman, What did you use to go belt? Did you build it yourself or did you use a conversion such as Freestyle-Hobby?

clp.eng, you must be using a different set of training wheels than what I had.I set my skids on the top of them.I made a set for my df36 and the skids set on top of them.My backyard is un-even and I would keep flopping on the side whenever I landed.Got expensive.Don't give up.If I can learn, anyone can.

Hey Broggyr I got it from a guy right here on this forum. He sold it to me for $25 couldnt pass that up> I was looking at the one at freestyle and was about to get it and I was looking on this forum and there it was for just 25. After a little mod it works great never flown better. No more motors. Well worth the $119 bucks on freestyle if anyone thinking of going beltdrive. Glad I pick it up for $25 Better tail control its gr8888888t
