I have a 1800mah Li-Poly and it says don’t charge it more than 1A but on my charger it says you can charge them at 1C which would be 1.8A for my battery, do you think it would be safe to do this or do you think it might expand as charging it at 1.8A should only take an hour instead of forever

most LiPo's can go at 1C; HOWEVER, I would probably go by what the manufacturer says....

What kind of cells are they?

Thanks for the quick reply, it’s a 3 cell 11.1V that came from ebay, the message on the battery says (Be fully charged under no more than 1A using the specified charger), what I’m thinking this might just be a standard messaged but maybe its not worth the risk

The only name on the card it came in was Planemodel but that doesn’t sound like the make and the only C it mentioned was the discharge and that was 8C

If you dont want your house to go up in flames then go by what the manufacturer says. Little boys must not play with matches and big boys must not play with Li batteries. Keep it safe

For safe charge, if no over charge protection, suggest that current not more than 1C, if PCB okay, yes, EXETERr ACRES is right!
