I don't think something like this has been posted before so here goes

I wanted to list the top five songs that I thought that would be excellent for R/C videos:

1. "My Favorite Game" by The Cardigans

2. "Good Times" by Finger Eleven (I think the SMF guys used it in one of their vids)

3. "You Will be Under my Wheels" by The Prodigy

4. "Give Me More" by Apartment 26

5. "Suck it up" by (hed) PE

Those are my favs. What are yours?

I think anything hard rock, heavy metal, or even some alternative is good. As long as it rocks and has some energy, it's a good choice.

I think that anything rap, r&b, pop, country, gospel, or just plain depressing, is a bad choice.

I agree partially with jefx. Because I couldnt imagine listening to r&b on a rc video (its good for just chillin with my girl) but not that great for watching someboyd shoot a car off a building or something but I love rap music and it seems to go along perfectly with my videos and I hardly ever listen to the music that people have in their videos because its rock music and that stuff gives me a headache . I think that rc videos go great along with rock/rap (like that jay-z and some rock band combined that was on mtv which was straight crack in the flesh) or just pure rap. I agree that most videos are good for rock like the crazy ones that some people make *cough* smf, beaverstick, etc.*cough* but every video I made just works with the rap songs I put on there because it just flows along with the beat.

My top 5 (in no particular order):

1. Fat Joe-Safe to say the incredibles
2. Clipse-any of their songs that have nice beats
3. Big Tymers-90% of their songs are about cars so that goes good.
4 and 5: Rap instrumentals that have good beats!

Jeez, all you guys like metal or rap (except ICrashThings, who has the closest thing to a decent sence of music displayed here).

Heres my pick:

1) S Club 7 - Reach up for the stars (for all the vids with HUGE jumps in! )
2) Fats Waller - 'Aint Misbehavin
3) Count Basie - Any of his stuff, it's all good!
4) Queen - Behemean Rapshody (spelling?).
5) Unknown - The Chicken (great funk song, and no, it's no the funky chicken before you ask! )

S club 7???? Wut is wrong with you.

Screamo is where its at for vids. Try Demon Hunter, haste the day, agony scene, the chariot, underoath, ot killswitch engage.

man thats a really hard topic to say a certain top 5 because it really depends on the videos content. for crawling i would prolyl want something a bit slower and for on-road, something that hit hard. so i guess ill just list the ones i have used in r/c and other music vids that i thought worked good.

so here they are in no particular order:

Breaking the Habbit - Linkin Park

Forgot about Dre - Emminem and Dr. Dre

How High - Method Man and Redman Ft. Tony Braxton

Headtrong - Trapt

Same Direction - Hoobastank

those are prolly the top 5 as of now from what ive done, but as i said before, it really depends on the video. IMO each video is unique and requires different music for the perfect match in mood, tempo, and excitement.

I think the music should go with the videos. maybe even pick the music before editing the vid to get the best effect. almost every genre would be good with a certain video type.

alternative=fast paced race video
heavy metal=bash video
rap=slow drifti
