I've had as many as 3 GPH346's at one time and flew the heck out of all of them. I traded 2 of them away and kept my shaft drive for myself. They are great machines. As a matter of fact, GPH stands for "Great Performing Helicopter". I didn't particularly like the belt drive version but the wire driven one and the one I converted to a torque tube were excellent. I understand that they may have been replaced by a GPH50 but there are probably still a ton of 346's in the pipeline. You won't be disappointed with either one.

I have one with a OS 46SF-H, Futaba GY502. Great machine. I did a few aftermarket items that work well.

1). Replaced the flimsy shuttle tail blades with the Secdeau 50 blades. Cheap and stiff.
2). Replaced the boom support with CF rod and anodized alum ends.
3). Replaced the woodies with CMT glass blades.
4). Replaced the landing gear and skids with a 60 size gear and skids, anodized skids.
5). Added a header tank.
6). I have the alum fly bar stabalizer, but haven't installed it yet.
7). Moved the t/r servo to the boom and used a solid cf rod to the tail.

If you can find a GPH 50, grab it! A friend has one and it is awesome. All metal head, blade grips, ect... Very nice machine.

I'm confused. Is the GPH 50 a better machine than the Sceadu 50 or is it the other way around?

They both fly well, the sceadu is here to take over the gph, they both handle the bigger engines real well, they both fly great, the gph has some minimal issues, the wire drive, the pitch slider on the tail, and the maingear if you go with a os50.The Sceadu you can pretty much build then fly the hell out of w out having to make changes to it,works great.

If you are still interested , I have a GPH 346 wire drive version that I am wanting to sell. It is available with or without a Thunder Tiger 46 and muffler. I will make you a good deal if interested.
