jadster, you cant connect the motors directly to the reciever, but you can run the motors off of a servo controller board. however, with what i'm assuming you experience level is, i wouldn't suggest that, its pretty involved. if you're really careful about how you wire the motors, i would reccomend a spy esc from novak http://www.teamnovak.com/products/ESC_Specs/revers_spec/reverse_index.htm. to wire this controller to your motors, and not smoke it, you would have to wire the motors in series, that is : from speed control pos to motor1 pos, motor1 neg to motor2 pos, motor2 neg to motor3 pos, motor3 neg to motor4 pos, and motor4 neg to speed control neg, although you'll have to swap neg and pos in there somewhere. basically its a huge pain. btw, you do have a gearbox on each motor right? if you dont have some sort of gear reduction i highly doubt that you'll have much luck with the truck.
