Bob,

What is the performance like on the SJ-90LX when using a Turbo-Jett? Does it work or does it suffer?

JS3,

You can use the 10cc turbojett with the LX. It will not turn as high as with the jett-stream LX length muffler that it would normally be provide with, but being high-timed it will still turn up fairly nicely. Still requires the use of 10-11-12" props. Prop selection still must be made to keep the engine up over 14K rpm.

Normally the standard SJ-90L uses a 15cc turbojett. That combination is capable of turning the heck out of a 13x8 or 14x6 (lots of torque).

I have not personally tried the LX with a turbo. I believe Dub has run it that way. I will try to get some data for you.

Bob

Thanks Bob. Any info you can provide would be great.

You might know where I'm going with this... The proposal for .90 sized F1 Racing!

Very good.......

That idea has been around for a little while now.

Duane Gall ( DHG) developed a Cosmic Wind/Toni/Ballerina design a few years ago for that exact purpose. Larger size F-1 event.

He is running a SJ-90L with a turbojett in his current version of that aircraft. Performs quite well.
