So anyone got A suggestion for A good power mod for me? I dont need to go 100mph, just maybe 40-45 would be nice. That way I could keep up with my nitro rusty. Anyway, I replaced the screw with A stainless steel deal. This is much stronger. Now I just want more power! Imagine that..... thanks guys.

I'm with you - 40 to 45 would be great.

What's a good combo to achieve this?

Thanks

are you sure you have a Novak 4700? I don't know what that is, but if you have a Novak 4300 which is what comes stock in that car, then you can't run more than a 6 cell bettery or you will burn up your ESC which is what I am assuming happened to your car. That ESC is not rated for more than 6 cells.

HAHA, so much for listening to the arsehole down at the lhs!!!!!! I asked him that exact same question and he told me it would hold up to 12 volts. I remember because I wanted to install A 3 cell lipo. now i know what i'm goin to do! Go down there and make him replace it! So to get this fixed all I will need is a new esc? i really liked the speed that the 8 cell gave me. Wanted more of course but hey.. do what ya can.. How much you recken this is gonna cost that way I will know the amount to get from that guy. Thanks for your help and have A great day!

ok cool. My friend has a GP3300 7 cell matched pack and it should fly with the Mamba 7700. So what gearing would you suggest?

try 17/86 first and check for temps.... if there to hot gear the spur up to 87, if not then gear up the pinions,, its a trial and error thing you know, you got to find the right sweet spot where your happy with the speeds and the temps are good also.

I have a 7700 in a XXXT with 2s lipos. run around 17/90 mine went 56mph. I've geared even lower than that now, run 14-15 / 90. As for the rear end. If your not a hard core racer run the DT gear diff. IT IS AWESOME. I've had it in about 2 packs and it perfect. I killed alot of ball diffs. It actually turns WAY better than a ball diff. You have to run the ball diff so tight with big power it does not work well. To convert you have to buy the cases and the gear diff... $24

Once you bite the bullet and go lipo you will never look back. My 7700 is so much more powerfull on lipos its crazy, and I was running good 7 cells. Lipos pull the same till you hit the low voltage cutoff.. If you do it get a good battery though 20c 5000 atleast for big brushless. My truck will flip over backward on pavement at 50mph. The 7700 is actually way too much... but its aweful fun!!

I guess the whole damn set up! The magic smoke came from everywhere!!!!!! Out of every hole! As far as I know the motor is ok,,,,, but I wouldnt trust it! But I know the rest is pretty well gone! So the esc, and motor will need to go. Speed control is bad to I guess, dont know A whole lot about brushless, used to nitro. All I know is smoke was everywhere!

Hi,

Enyone here thinking about rebuilding an xxx t so the engine is in the centre of the car in stead at the back?
I think this would be a big improvement for jumping and stuff.

I've only had mine for a few months(roller off ebay) but I love the way this truck drives. Its even got me into racing at the local track.

My first ball diffed truck though and of course I melted the diff(diff was to loose) by the end of the race this weekend. It needed to be rebuilt anyways and the track owner said he had the parts in stock so I wanted to finish the races. Turns out he only had the NT diff parts oh well, the parts should be here tomorrow and I can get it back together and hopefully set right

I love the look of the slash but dont want one. Cuz i love my losi of course.
But can I mount that body to my xxx t with new body post?
Is the wheelbase close enough to the same?
Has this been talked about already?

Hmm...never has been talked about yet. I would ask this in the electric offroad forums only NOT in the xxx-t thread because there isnt much action in here.

EDIT: If there's a will there's a way!!!!!!

What's the difference between the xxx-t CR and xxx-t Matt Francis?

It seems the MF2 has all graphite, and all the updgrades, but why is it $5 cheaper?

http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodID=LOSA0075

http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSK0077

I'm trying to figure out which one to buy! Help!

Actually, the MF2 is normally mroe expensive. The XXX-T CR is $250 at my LHS and the XXX-T MF2 is $255. The MF2 is discontined by Losi though. The graphite is stiffer than the EA3, but the EA3 is lighter and the CR chassis is longer which is better for rough tracks. The MF2 seems to be more durable. Like if you break a part just repalce it with graphite and your set. The Gen 2 tranny was a failure so Losi went back to the gen 1 trwnny on the CR. Overall, if you want to race and bash go with the MF2. There are still alot of MF2 trucks on ebay and people who still prefer the MF2 over the CR as they were extremely popular when Losi made them. But if you want hardcore racing, go with the CR.

Restoring my XXXT MF1 and I can't find any red rod caps. Losi discontinued them. Does anybody have some or a package to sell? Losi part # is LOSA6014. I heard RPM use to make them too in red color. Please PM me if you can help !!!!!
