I just built my MF2 and wanted what you guys are running. I am gonna run a Mamba Max 7700 on 6 cells and want to know what gearing I should use. Right now it's 23/86 on a stock motor and I am getting about 20-25MPH.

This truck is AWESOME!!!

im running my mf2 with the MM 6900 geared 17/87. on good 6 cell packs is awesome on 7 its ballistic and now im running it with 2S lipo. top speed is about the same as the 7 cells but the acceleration is like doubled, for me theres no words to describe what the 6900 is on 2s, well maybe call it mind boggling.. getting back to gearing 23/86 may be a over gearing with the 7700. using pinions between 16-20 may be best.

ok cool. My friend has a GP3300 7 cell matched pack and it should fly with the Mamba 7700. So what gearing would you suggest?

try 17/86 first and check for temps.... if there to hot gear the spur up to 87, if not then gear up the pinions,, its a trial and error thing you know, you got to find the right sweet spot where your happy with the speeds and the temps are good also.

I will try that gearing. And how often do you rebuild your transmission? Because I have heard that the Losi tranies arne't that good on their trucks and when I built it I might have not put enough diff grease in the tranny. I have about 15 runs on it with a crappy motor and it goes about 20-25MPH.

Losi trannys not that good?? lol your funny.

It all depends on the user, I dont rebuild until something goes wrong. But if you put the tranny together rite it should last awhile. Ive had it last me almost a year b4 I had to rebuild it.

Well I had great luck with all my Losi trannies except the Losi XXX Buggy which it's a pain to get parts for.

But on RCTech forums there is ALOT of people with Losi's and they say that the T4 has a way better diff and the Losi one isn't that good

the only trannie i have heard losi having any problems with is the new speed T trannie, but then again thats usually user mistakes... like i said im running the 6900 on 2s doing anywhere from 45-50 mph abusing it and no tranny issues. just keep it adjusted properly and let the slipper do its job.

I just found this website. HERE is the link to it. They make these diff balls and it is $20 to get the thrust balls, the diff balls, and the diff rings. The people on RCTech say it makes the diff super smooth. And FREE shipping!

Hello everyone! I have been messin around in r/c for about four years now, always traxxas. But now i recently got A xxx-t rtr brushless with the 4700 novak. First off let me tell you I have had A rusty with A 3.3 on it, t-maxx with A .32 on it, and jato with the stock on it, and this car beats them all as far as being reliable, easy to fix, and just plain fun! I had to jump it off my roof to even break the dang front arm on it! Now I have A few problems that I would like to fix if anyone is willing to help....... First I just bought a 4200 venom 7 cell pack and it's alot faster now,,, but the pack is really hot when done driveing and the motor has hit the cut off several times due to heat. How do I fix this? The gear is pretty low already as it's top speed is maybe 30mph? Tops! Next I like the other guy A few pages back cant seem to stop the car without turning or pulling to one side? I know the motor does the brakeing but how would I adjust the tranny to stop straight? Next would be I have the venom pack, what kind of pack should I have tp up the speed? I have already gone from the 7.2 to the 8.4 packs. But would I benefit from A high C rateing lipo? Or would I just get longer run times? I know these are the typical questions butI have read every page and dont see anything relative to my questions. Thanks and have A great day!
