OK so if there was a top three list of the first upgrades to buy for the jato...when i finally pay it off. What would those be? And im talking purely performance wise like structural or speed wise. Not aesthetically speaking.

Hello Jato crew, I am going by my first rc car/stadium truck and it will be the JATO. I have just two question at this time. How many of you upgraded to the 2.4Ghz system immediately when you purchased your JATO and how much did it cost ?

Thanks

CAP

I upgraded mine shortly after break in with a Spektrum DX2, only set me back a $148.

RPM A-arms (front and rear), RPM Bumper. Maybe a chassis brace. Other then that just fix stuff as it breaks.

in retrospect i would buy the new era lower bulkhead protector and brace. i would definitely replace the stock tires immediately(anacondas are garbage, even on the road).
third...i would buy a FEW extra gearboxes. thats my 2 cents worth.[)]

I think what he ment was that the way the rear shock tower is mounted on the gear box housing if you flip or wreck alot it tends to break the gear box housing, not that the gears strip out.

Did you buy the JATO ? If yes I should have mine this week I wouldn't mind going through it with someone who has it from scratch. I am new to RC cars/trucks so will need a pacifier for a while on how to run the JATO.

Never broke my gearbox. Have broken a couple rear shock towers thou. If you run metal shock tower then you brake the tranny case instead of the shock tower...

Yes, that's what I ment. I think that's what stinkypinky is talking about, but he may want to clarify that.
