Hi Gary and Jules,

Hope to drop a jumper from the Wilga at my CORKS club IMAA Fly-In this Saturday.

The wx is supposed to be better.

See you soon - Paul

Hi paul,

After I made the post I went to the Lees Inn site and found out that they were booked.

I just made a reservation at the Day Inn 765-288-2311
I called C.R. and gave him the info.

Hi Lundy,

I'll be across the street and bring my ear plugs.
See yaw in September,

Gary

Hello All,

Dave here from rcskydiving.com. We will be at the event this year in full force. Nathan (my son), Sandy (my girlfriend) and I will all be attending the AMA ralley. Hotels are booked pretty good but we found a few to choose from not to far from the field. Hope to meet alot of people there I have talked to or done business with. Sounds like it will be a great time.

I've never been to the Nat'l site before, how busy is it? Should I pack a couple electrics or will there be too many other flyers there.

Who's going to be there Friday, I hope to be there by mid afternoon. Maybe there's a chance for some hop-and-pops?

It's not too busy, think many people are burned out after the Nats.

I plan to be there Friday. Flying then, will be restricted to the main R/C flying area for frequency control reasons. Saturday and Sunday our event will be moved to another area (at least it was in the past) and the main R/C area will be closed.

You can bring anything you want, but flying other than jumpers will probably be limited during the weekend. I hope we will have lots of skydiver activity.

Paul

According to the contest calendar, we'll be sharing the weekend with free-flighters in Muncie.

Gas costs will not keep me from going, just not as swiftly! Maintenance, however, might if I have one more major expense...

Happy to hear you are still going. I won't let gas prices keep me away either.

We can share the facility with free-flighters as along as they're not R/C assist.

Two more weeks!!

Hi Guy's,

I still plan on going, unless the gas situation gets alot worse. Hopefully, after the Holiday weekend they will drop a little or at least hold, I paid $3.19 today.
I spent more on gas ($110) to go to Wil's rally than on the motel room.
490 miles from home to the AMA field, 8 to 8 1/2 hrs. I should be there between noon and 2:00PM on Fri.

Has anyone heard from Jim Boone down in Alabama? I hope he made it through the hurricane ok.

P.S.
If anyone wants to be added to the R/C Skydiver contact list, or needs to update any info please e-mail it to me and I will update the list and bring copies to the rally.

( the contact list is just a list of R/C skydivers that I have started to help keep people informed of upcoming events)

The list contains the following info: Name, Address, Phone#, E-mail

Thanks,
See Yaw in Muncie!

I still plan to go. I hope this gas deal doesn't hurt the event. For us here in Ohio, there will not be to much more flying left this year. I am really looking forward to this event.

Hi Ya'll:
Thanks for checking on me Gary. I'm fine. Had only 1" of rain and about 40mph winds but dodged Tornado warnings for 2 days. Lucked out there too--none touched the ground close by. The national disaster on the Gulf coast is a sad thing. Hope the feds get it together real soon!

I wll be in Muncie unless another hurricane comes around. Last year I couldn't get out of Atl because of the wx. Delta wouldn't fly. Missed the New Albany competition after driving all the way up. Had to leave on Sat to beat another hurricane to my house. Hit it about 20 mi north of home!

Really looking forward to Muncie. I'll be there on Thursday afternoon. See Ya'll there!

Jim

Hallo Pieter,

Just got a call from Jules in Chicago. He said all is well. I'll see him Thursday in Muncie and pass along your best wishes.

I must send my regrets, not attending events has become my orlog for this year. I'll keep working on things here and y'all have a ball this weekend!

Hey! Remember to post some pics, please, and I'll do the same.
