Well it's been a while but after getting Married, Building 2 houses and moving interstate, 10 YR's had flown by, the Last aircraft I flew was a 40 size Diabalo, on it's and my final flight it suffered, human error and drowned in the river, I pulled the engine out and for the past 10 years it has been stripped to components, I recently got settled again and decided it was time to hop back on the horse so to speak, so I decided to re assemble the OS 40 FP and put an aircraft on the other end of it, So here is the World models Fronteir 40. it fly's great on a 10 X 6 power point prop, and flies for around 20 mins at a time, ( Huge tank) I love it, I modified it for tail dragger and added wheel fairing's, Its a great aircraft and lots of fun, great way to ease back into it,.. : )

Funny how life gets in the way. I have taken a couple of hiatus's myself. Good luck with this new phase. BTW...ARF's have gotten better!!!

yeah tell me about it,..I was a bit hesitant in buying an ARF,..but this kit was a dream to put together,...the only down side is that when it goes in,..there will be no recovery, as it is light on the structure side of things,...

Hi
I'm also a "come-back" flier.
Moved abroad to work and had a few years when I was on the move, not long enough in one place to have time for the hobby.
Last summer I got back into rc-flying and really found out how much I'd missed it.

I also started with a World Models plane, the Skyraider Mach 2, low wing. It flies very gentle and is really an OK performer. I power it with a TT 46 pro.
Eventhough the Mach 2 is a low wing, I flew it myself right from the beginning, no teacher or buddybox. My experience from before was a trainer and a Duraplane 40. No low wing experience, but this puppy is very gentle and predictable.

After the Skyraider I have built a SIG 4*60 kit, a LT-40 ARF, got a Bird of Time glider and a DeHavilland Beaver.
Also got involved in fourstroke engines and can nothing but recommend you to go get one...or a few
I have the OS .70 and .52, really cool machines!

Here's my Get-back-to-flying-plane,

And here's my story
