Purchased a new Magnum .46 and have had excellent sucess. I bought it to switch out a Tower Hobbies .40 on my trainer. I broke it in exactly like the manual says . It fires up every time and is smooth throught out the whole throttle range. The only deadstick's I've had is when I run out of fuel (and never a crash because of it, glides right in)

I come here to these forums (rcuniverse) for help and advice, I have gained alot of knowledge because of it. Just thought I'd post my experience with the Magnum engine (.46).

Thanks

I've also got a 46XLS. Bought it NIB, moved the needle valve from the carb to the backplate. I put it into a GeeBee Dreamer Bipe, and had numerous deadsticks with it. Put it on the stooge at the field and noticed that I was getting bubbles in the fuel line comming from the remote needle to the carb intake, but not from the tank to the needle. Took it home and took the remote needle apart, applied some red RTV around the o-ring and now I no longer get bubbles and it is a very strong engine. I would suggest to anyone buying this engine to double check the o-rings in the needle assemblies for any defects prior to flying.
