Maybe I will just stick with two servos on the rudder like I had. I was planning on one 4cell and one two cell lion pack for RX. How do you like that combo so far? I imagine it must be amazing. Even with the DA 100 I had more than enough power for anything. I imagine my AUW will still be a pound lighter with the BME 115 with even more power to spare.

I am planning a BME 115 with stock muffs, 1 5955 on the rudder, and 1 5955 each on the ailerons., with the CF gear and spinner, cutting the need for 3 matchboxes, and 3 servos, and light engine, this thing should be a feather. I figure the weight savings should be close to 1lb over stock with no huge $$ spent.

I used two aileron servos with no matchboxes. I just setup my linkages correctly and if need be use a programmer. Tony said he had the wings done! I think it will have been like a year since I saw my plane I think I dropped it off back in May last year.

you are using Hitec servos I recomend 2 for the ailerons and match them with a hitec programmer. especially with the 115. Mine has a 110 and is 22lbs. I would have lost it if I only had one servo per aileron!!!

I agree with Dan. I have two on my ailerons and matched them with a Hitec Programer. I would have lost mine as well if I did not have two aileron servos per wing.

I once burned out one of my rudder servos and the remaining was enough to get it down safely. I also once had a servo tray come loose in flight. Its cheap insurance IMHO! This is still an awesome plane and I really need mine back already.

BME 115 in this plane will equal very insane power. I was very impressed with the performance of the 115 when I saw it haul around a 35% plane.

260 fliers, I was checking out the new WH site (yes, been a little while since I had $ to go shopping), and I saw the picture of the Extra 260, Tom & Bill Hempel. I live in Tucson and get to see Bill fly often, but if you want to see something really "EXTRA", check out Bill's web site "billhempel.com" and under gallery/videos you'll get to see Bill land his Extra with ONE wing.
Enjoy.

There are a couple of people running 1 aileron servo here locally with no problems.. one on a AW 260, and one on a QQ 102
