I am using a Hydramax 1200 mah NiMH rx battery in my Giant Aeromaster. I have cycled the battery and the capacity is fine, but after one 10 minute flight, more than half of the capacity is used up. Is this normal? I have 5 qurter scale servos and 2 standard servos in the plane. I cycled the battery after a 15-20 minute flight the other day and there was only 256 mah left in the battery! I want to know if this is normal or if there could be a bad servo causing the extra drain?

That should be easy to determine, just put an ammeter between the battery and receiver and measure the current while you are exercising the servos. If the drain is high, just unplug the servos one at a time to see which ones, if any, are causing your problem.

You should be using at least 3000 NIMh or larger battery packs. 1200 Nimh battery packs are good for 2 standard servos a 1 1/4 scale servo max.
