actuallly thunderbird it is possible....the r33 motor does fit into a max....on top of that im planning to change the whole front end of the car make it identical to the skyline, so dont try to talk about it like you know wut you mean...cuz with the right mechanic by myside and enough money it is very possible. i got a friend who has the same motor in a 95 maxima...and the 95 and 99 are almost identical except for headlight and taillights and few minor body parts. he spent about 11K to get the motor which was actually modiefied alil more and for labor too....... again please dont talk about stuff that you dont know about......just stick to your mustangs and stay away from the import market cuz nissans have a lot of possibilities for modifications that you dont know about...also just realized that this is under my lil bro's name....ill post to your reply undermine....sorry

mosavage, are you going to convert the car to rear wheel drive?
it works pretty well with Cavaliers, Corsicas, Grand Ams, etc etc and so forth and 3.8 turbo GN engines (which actually DO fit in the sideways position assuming you drill out the mounting bosses and replumb the turbo setup, way easier to just drop in a 3.8SC from an FWD car)
anyhow, if you're not BSing...that's a whole lotta work man, and good luck, and i sure as hell wanna see it.

sorry to break your heart demahalko....vw gti are crap...i got a 99 maxima se......stock motor.....high compression pistons, headers back exhuast system by the one and only stillen, exedy stage 3 clutch, cold air intake, and a ecu upgrade. now i raced one of your modded r32's and wasn't really impressed...off the line he couldn't keep up, after i shifted in to third the r32 was about 3 cars ahead of him. so dont bring none of that GTI stuff here. by next summer im gonna have a skyline r33 twin turbo motor in thier and should be burning vettes and vipers
Omg... even IF this isnt COMPLETLY bullshiit why would you wast so much time and money on a ghey car thats not even cool?
Oh ya, i would LOVE to see a maxima take off faster than an R32, with the AWD that car is capable of VERY fast launches, i wanna see a maxima keep up with an r32, cuz i dont believe it.

and my reply to DM about why i would spend that much money. why not if i have it. its not like the maxima is my primary car...i use it to just mess around. i actually have a mb cl 55 and just bought a brand new navigator. i have no problem spending 34 k on my maxima. thats wut its gonna cost cuz im changing the whole front end and working on the car from inside out. interior to paint and ofcourse a wet shot of nos

hey, the guy with the crappy r32 gti...wuts your location. im in souther california. if you wanna meet up i can show you wut a real tuner is suppose to be. r32's are over priced....i got a four door sedan with the leather, sunroof, heated seats the whole nine yards. and ill still whip your a$$. dont sleep on the maximas.. they might look slow but unless you have driven one dont talk trash. i have driven a r32 and all the gti's available. they dont pull any harder then a honda civic si with an exhuast.

post some timeslips or STFU.
I'm giving DM some good natured V8 lovin crap, but you're just being an idjit.
so, how did you go about installing those pistons? just wondering how YOU specifically did it, and what your car runs in the 1/4. make sure you HAVE your timeslip handy, because i wanna know the 60' time, 330, 660, and trap speeds.
of course the last bit of that last line you don't understand, because you've never been on a drag strip

LOL your funny, and the gag of the R32 GTi being slow and crap you obviously have never been in one it will chop most cars in a straight line and MUCH more on a track......A fast car is a car that can brake well accelerate well and turn well. and dont get me started on R32 GT-R's.
