not knocking the STi or anything (a turbo impreza is the only new jap car i'd own), but if you have trouble shifting because of the STi accelerating so quickly, you need to look into a hobby that doesn't involve acceleration. it's not hard to pound off gears in a mid/low 13 second car...you think the STi is tough, try my uncle's 70 4-4-2 with a built 455 and a Muncie 4 speed. traction-limited deep 12s and a reluctant-to-disengage clutch...WOT shifts are a HUGE pain in the butt.

DMehalko(DM), YOU GOT BURNT TO A CRISP!!!!!!!

(A automatic might suit you best, you might want to look into those. The best of all, they require no shifting!!! Sounds like a match to your needs)

If you put a spoiler on that potato, it will look like a shopping cart, it already looks like a potato on wheels... Why make it worse??

And clean up that mess inside your car, it looks like a pig gave birth to a litter in it...

2004 Ford Mustang GT:
Corbeau Racing Seats
Demon body kit with Eternal Pearl Blue paint
Vortech Supercharger with Aftercooler
(This itself only adds 142 HP adding to the GT's 260 HP, which equals 402 HP, A Cobra Mustang has 390 HP. That bucket of dust (GTI) is only 190 HP, I got more than 2x as much as that shopping cart)
Titanium Strut Bars
Magnaflow Exhaust
Performance Chip
Greddy Headers
AEM Short Ram
Direct Port Nitrous
Bullitt Rims
Pirelli P Zero tires

Total: 463 HP

Want to race me for slips DMehalko(DM)?

ThunderbirdJunkie you wouldn't ever go for an R-34 GTR? or even a MKIV Supra? Either car is way more capable than the STI but I still really like STI's though.

If i'm gonna get a heavy, overpriced front-engine RWD car i'd get a Viper.
I wouldn't mind HAVING an R34 GTR, aside from not being able to get parts for it when it DOES break (it WILL break, i'm rough on equipment), and I wouldn't have an MkIV Supra for the simple fact that they're butt-ugly.
Now, a 3rd gen RX7 i wouldn't mind...

as long as it had a small block Ford V8 and a Tremec T56
*EDIT*
i'd NEVER EVER EVER actually BUY a Skyline, by the way. I could add a '58 T-bird Coupe and a '62 Sport Roadster to keep my 88 5.0L company, and have money left over to house 'em all, AND finish my t-bird
