Sotos, that looks really nice. I though about using a wing tube when I built the kit (for about three seconds) - I just had no idea of how to do the modification. The way that you did it makes sense.

The standard equipment plywood wing joiner seems to be holding up - but a wing tube seems like it might be more durable in the long run. Thanks for posting the pics.

The wing tube mod wasn't all that difficult to execute, but figuring out the sequence was a pain. I had to cut the fuse sides for the tube socket before framing up the fuse to avoid any problems with alignment. Same with the ribs. the fact that they were split made them a pain to work with. I just got the wing framed up this past weekend, so just a bit of sheeting left to do and I'll be at the finishing stages prior to covering. I can't wait to get it finished, but since I'm not much for flying in the cold, it will probably be April before I get it in the air.

thanks for the pointer to this thread in jc4me2's thread. This isn't a section I normally checked in on, now I see all these 3D threads have been going on all the time I was building mine.

Did you ever finish the build? How did it fly?

I still hve one of these NIB and am thinking of a DLE 20 in it...
