My DA50 started this 6-7 galon after. There is a CF plate on the carb, it shouldnt be the difference of airflow, are you sure it may solve the problem if I richen the low end??? and one more thing there are 2 red screws on the carb, ı found that 2 of them are not tight, now I have tightened them so lets see what will happen??? I will inform...

Check for dirt in the carb or filter. I had the EXACT same problem. and found dirt/crud was the problem. Cleaned it out and it flew fine, of course we figured thisout after messing with the needles and three deadsticks in a row.

This plane lands like a trainer. Deadsticks are fun!

The last few I have dealt with had all run too hot with poor cooling and to lean mixes, I think it softenes the carb block and in the ones I looked at had allowed the gasket to pull in which again made it worse because that leaned it still more due to air leaking in.
Be carefull about how tight you crank the carb bolts, the plastic block deforms easily.
Not saying you leaned it but poor cooling is a common problem on Yaks because of the cowl (happened to me as well).
As long as it transitions then a little burble is fine, dont know why eveyone is obsessed with trying to get rid of it.

The carb mod is basically taking off the carb plate that covers the diaphram soldering the hole shut, re drilling a new one in the middle and soldering on a fuel nipple fitting, make sure its smooth on the inside and then attach tubing to it and route into the fuselage so the carb sees a steady pressure instead of a very unstable flow inside the cowl...again it comes back to what cowl you have/baffles/air exit and other airflow issues.
On the DA 100 most need the carb plate because the hole is directly in the air blast on the Yak, didnt need one on an extra

I had the 23a on my Brillelli 60cc and I thought the NX 22x8 had a better pullout and the 23a was slow. The 23a did brake on downlines better though. If you're going with the Vess I would think the 23b might be better but I don't know if your engine can spin it. I also use the same NX on my DA50. If you haven't tried the NX you might want to give it a shot..... Bill

Well I don't think you mentioned what prop you are running right now. I haven't run the 22b so I couldn't say for sure. There may be better props out there but with the 3.2 I don't see how you can get much better than the NX 22x8. I know some guys love the Xoar etc. but for me I liked the NX best all around so far. I tached it on my FPE 3.2 last year at 6800 but the ignition died on me before I had a chance to get it orr the ground. I'm running the NX on my Brillelli and my DA. Both planes come very close to 18 pounds..... Bill

The last time I checked my CG it was about 1/4" in back of the wing tube. I may have changed it slightly since then trying to find the sweet spot. I am considering going slightly more toward the tail. I don't think mine flies with the tail down but I do have about 2 clicks of up elevator. Here's the web site for the NX props. http://www.airwildhobbies.com
