I have decided to try to have a sketch done from memories of the origional plane and also try to contact those who flew on it. Does anyone reading this thread remember seeing it in WWII? If so I would love to hear from you. If anyone knows someone who is still alive that flew in any war, I suggest that you try to do this also. Their kids and grandkids who are proud of their service and for protecting their freedoms would love to have an idea of what it was like with as many memories as possible.

Since we are close to Independence day, I would like to use this space to emphasize,

God Bless America

Kev:

The kit was always made by MaRutaka, it was sold in this country under the name Royal.

Bill.

I'm continuing on my search. Does anyone know where most of the pin-up girls from WWII can be found?

I've decided to build fron 3views. I'm going to make it a two piece wing. Does anyone have any suggestions on how far out the wing tube should be? I was thinking to the outside of the outboard engines. Is that right?

A guy in our club had one about 5 years ago. He used .40 2-strokes on his. Hope your quality is better. Had a ton of pin holes in the glass work. Just takes extra time for filling. It flew good on the .40's

At our club meeting last night a member brought his newly maidened Aerotech B-17. Said he hated the build, very poor instructions, but it flew like a big trainer. He's using 4 - Magnum .32's and says it pretty much flys scale and on the wing. Dont recall the weight at the moment (17 lbs sticks in my mind for some reason, dont know) but its 108" ws.
