They all can fly thanks to to simulators, but my oldest son actually learned to hover and torque roll on the sim and when I gave him the sticks to my foamy he immediately did the same. Interested though, I think not. Basketball and video games rule there lives.

Mike:

It looks like the plane is all together, can you send me any photos of the completed plane for use on the web site?

Have you flown it? It looks like some of those pics were taken at the flying field.

Hey guys what are you using for the rudder servo. the hole looks pretty big for a standard size servo. looks like a hitec 5735 will fit in there.

Tom I didn't fly it yet, still need to finish up a few things. I always tend to build my planes out of sequence.

I will have it up by this thursday though for sure. I will then have a video to go with it as well being that I know have a digital cam in my possesion.

It does feel lighter than my edge and with a little more wing area I'm hoping that it will 3D very well.

I'm using a Hitec HS5955TG on the rudder. Super powerfull and quick. Much simpler than ganging servos.

Aileron servos going in now. Notice I have just a paper widths clearence between the wing struts and the servo arms.

FWIW, those arms are 1.5" SWB's I used them because those where what I had on hand.

Ken, be careful about the ailerons on the first flight. They are really powerful and if you have too much travel it will be a handful.

If you have triple rates available set the lowest rate really really low and real soft, just in case.

With as much travel as you have at high rates rolls will be a blur.

On the main gear I had to do the following:
1. Enlarge the hole in the landing gear strut to accomidate the axle that was supplied in the hardware kit.
2. Shorten the axle to fit inside the wheel pant.
3. Enlarge the tire hole in the wheel pant for the supplied 3.5" wheel and tire.

On the tail wheel assy I soldered the spring wire so it would hold. CAUTION this wire is VERY heat sensitive. Go easy on the heat if you solder the wire.
