Does anyone know of a good article or any other reference material that explains how to make a "custom" fuel tank. I had a control line buddy tell me he used to do it in the 70s but he's no longer around.
Thanks in advance... J

In "The Old Days" (control line ), we used to make them from sheet brass or old soup cans that we bent to shape and soldered together, but the designs were pretty simple and there was no need to be concerned about a clunk.

If you need to make a "custom fitted" fuel tank, I suggest posting the question in the jet forum. My understanding is the jet people frequently make their own "fuel cells" (fancy name for a fuel tank ). They should be able to provide direction and/or instructions.

It would also help if you mentioned what material you're willing to use and if it needs a clunk and what volume it has to hold.

Metal and sodering is one option. Modifying an existing bottle is another.
