hi.
i'v read the comparison, which there Reflex was the winner.
i read many posts here, some liked Reflex, some liked AFPD...
in the comparison, the author said that G3 is awful, and that its physics are so bad.
but, i saw recent posts of G3 that the owners said it was the best out of the 3.

i want to buy one of them, not all, only one.
so, what to buy? G3\Reflex\AFPD?

the main problem is:

every sim has somthing to offer.
i realy like G3 (havent used it) because of the nice features, (like multiplayer and training)

Reflex and AFPD for graphics.

well i won't have problems with any of the 3 cuz i have good specs,
but what to buy?! i don't know what to dooooooo

Stinky,

Just an FYI ... the offer for AFPD 15 day trial does extend to International customers as well. In fact I will even pay for your shipping back to the USA if you don't like it and refund you the full amount after you try it.

BUT please make sure your computer specs meet the requirements or are greater then listed.

We now have had only 3 returns in the last 2 months with many sales. In each case the only reason they came back were because of computers that were not up to par as they did not read the requirements.

So ... now you have no risk whatsoever. Nor do I ... because you won't be sending it back. You'll see why when you get it.

If you have a really fast PC (w/good DX9 graphics card) you can try G3 otherwise don't bother. If you have an average PC go w/Reflex or AFPD.

I have a P4 3.0, 1 gig ram and BFG6800GT 256 card and can run AFPD at over 500fps with all settings maxxed, on G3 I can barely maintain 30fps (consistently) and cannot max the settings or it runs too slow.

i got X800 PRO 16Pipes, which is like X800 XT but a little bit slower,
with 1GB RAM of DDR400. CPU: AMD 3200+ (Overclocked to 2.5g)

well, its not much diffrent than your pc, and you got 30fps? damn.

so i shouldn't even bother to buy G3 right?
or should I?

nevermind the graphics, what about the physics?

I dont want to cause a big argument over this but I own reflex and G3. Reflex might have graphics but the physics are awful, it doesnt even compare to g3. And w\ reflex you have to know alot about physics to modify a plane bc there is no visual with it, its stuff like "frontal lift coefficient" mumbo jumbo. With g3 its all visual and very simple to modify and sooooooooo many options to modify. And if you dont have a super computer you can still use G2 fields and it wont run slow. I meet minimum requirements and have everything set at medium which looks pretty great, plus, you wont care about eye candy after the first week of flying anyway. As for AFPD, i dont have a clue what its like, but there isnt a chance I would trade for anything else! BTW, G3 is coming out with an update that will allow g3 users to build there own planes for free instead of buying add ons just like reflex and AFPD.

It will run good on that setup -you won't be able to run good at max settings however. Physics of the three sims are all a matter of opinion.

I was just trying to tell you not to bother w/G3 if you didn't have a speedy PC.

Physics is an exact science actually...math equations that explain why the airplane flies like it does. If the physics are correct then it is not a matter of opinion. Scenery and paint schemes are more opinion based. None the less, we all have different ideas about what we like about our sims. I've tried all 3 and prefer AFPD, but for the rest of you, just buy them all and then you will know the answers you seek.

ok.
well, i think i got a speedy PC.
all the new games in the market work flawlessly!
with 90fps minimum (while playing doom3\halflife 2...)

why does G3 need so much graphics? because of the physics engine?

i care about the physics.
only physics.

anyway, only Breakstuff says that G3 is the best,
but all the rest say AFPD\Reflex.

i think i'll stick with AFPD.
i'll place my order right away.

Don't know why G3 needs such a powerful PC, my guess would be poorly written software. Maybe they will optimize it better in the future.

Yeah well the G3 owners say G3 has the best physics, the AFPD owners say AFPD has the best physics & the Reflex owners say Reflex has the best physics smart guy Thats why I said its a matter of opinion.

When someone asks "which sim should I buy" the answers he gets vary depending on who happens to be browsing the boards. Some people stand to profit by getting you to pick their sim BTW. I only try to warn others that G3 is a resource hog so their not disappointed.

AFPD has over 600 free down loads for your flying pleasures. you should be able to find something out of all the planes for AFDP that you like to fly. i had the g3 and sold it. i have AFPD and love it. everyone is different so you will have to make up your own mind. AFDP does offer 15 days to try it out and see for yourself. can't say that for the others. hope this helps. happy flying

Are those the same people that work for a living by helping support these forums and assisting to create dozens of free models to users like yourself? You do believe in the meaning of "free commerce" too, don't you? Afterall you too must also have a job of some kind???

All I know is that if you profit from the sale of the sim your biased.

Ah ... I get it now ... seeing since thats "all you know". That sheds a lot of light on many things.

Funny I don't really recall myself telling people to buy AFPD because it's better. I just answer a lot of questions and state facts based on the product itself and it's features/functions. People whom purchase AFP from OMP do not do so because I sprinkle fairy dust on them which forces them to pick up the phone and call or order online. They do so because of their own "personal opinions" of the product.

Ah ... it's all good. Rick and I go way back. It's all good fun.

Besides ... he already placed his order for AFPD.
