Hi Mike. I see on the Hitec website that you are coming out with a new servo- 475HB. I, like a million other pilots, am looking for a reasonable priced servo for the 72-80" airplanes that are so popular today and this servo may fill the bill. Hitec claims it has better centering. How is this possible since it uses a 3 pole motor? Do you know when it will be available and what price range it will be in? I am very unhappy with the 605's centering and will not use them. Will the 475 really be any better? On another note, what is the difference between the 605 MG and the 645? Does the 645 have the same centering problems? I would think there would be a huge market for a 5 pole servo in the 605 torque range. Any chance of that happening?
Thanks for your time,
JB

Yes, it and the digital version should make good choices for the larger planes. The better centering somes from a new IC we spent two years developing. The HD gears are 3.8 times stronger than our standard nylon.

The street price on the 475HB will be around $20 and the 5475HB digtial around $35. Expect to see them in November.

The 605/625 & 615/645 are basically the same servos, the only difference is the 615/645 are geared down the for torque and the 625/645 use a standard sized case. The digital versions center much better than the analog versions due to the tighter deadband, so I would suggest the them if you are unhappy with the analogs.

The 545 5-pole motor servo is an excellent choice for large planes and has proven to be very reliable over the years. I use them in most of my sport planes.

Mike.
