this is to tommy the cat, i was gonna try that very same reciever batt. mod u were talking about. i thought it would work and heres proof!. how well does this work? will my car steer anything like a losi etc.

PS i have new shocks , soft springs/oil upfront. and plenty of other stuff. that helps steering.

Moving the RX batt to the front helped reduce a lot of the pushing in turns, especially when under power. I cannot compare it to any other car and say it will steer like... because it is so setup and surface dependent, not to mention very subjective. All I can say is that the difference is night and day. I still cannot figure out why any engineer would design a light little ST and put the batts behind the rear wheels, unless they were wheely loving nuts.

As for the aluminum shock tower. i guess if you got a light one it would bend easy. the one I had came on mine when I bought it as a roller and it is very heavy. I did manage to bend it a little when I slid upside down into a curb at 40+mph, but it only bent a slight little bit and I just straightened it back out with some vice grips.

get the rusty alot of the guys i run with have the big money trucks and i can run with all of them and my rusty crashes just as good as the others hahahaha....something i found to really help the wheelie problem is remove the rear control arm mounts and shim the front side of the control arm up it makes a BIG DIFFERENCE, as for the rusty trying to float at high speeds thats what fun is all about, i really love the dirt hawgs good on and off road last awhile too.....

dan you helped me so now i can help you.......the small plastic rear control arm mount that is held the chassis by two screws, and then your pivot pin goes through. remove the 2 screws shim the front of the mount by flipping the shim that is already there to make it set level if your shim is long gone just use a washer between the chassis and the control arm mount i have about 1/16 of an inch in mine and it seems to keep the front end planted much better.......another thing i have done is use a nut and bolt to reinstall the control arm mount to prevent the plastic from stripping on the mounts.....

I just bought a rustler and i love it but the trx 2.5 sux so much. I ran a gallon through it and it lost all it compression and doesn't run, and yes it was broken in correctly and yes it was tuned right. Has this happened to any 1 else. if so did u buy another trx or something else.

the engine i was refering to is the OS .12 CV-RX, it costs only $110 will tear a trx 2.5 to shreds and the best pullstarter in the world so the ezstart is not necessary.
