If you want something other than the standard construction helmets in solid colors, there are a ton of web sites out there. For construction style, use your search engine of choice and put in "hard hat", "helmet", and "safety" and you get lots of responses. If you want military, there are army-navy places out there as well. For other styles, try a sporting goods store. I've seen people use hockey and bicycle hemlets. I don't see any reason why a baseball batting hemlet wouldn't be a good choice as well.

Heck, the sporting goods hemlets will probibly be the best for safety design. After all, construction helmets are only rated for getting hit from above, they do little-to-nothing for side impacts. At least hockey and baseball hemlets are designed to stop a baseball or puck moving at some good speeds. Not quite the energy of a combat airplane, but not bad either.

Browse around, useable helmets are everywhere. But for cheap and available, you can't beat the bog-standard construction helmets.

Well if you think your tough enough you could walk up to a construction guy, punch him in the face, grab his hard hat and make a quick escape on your moped.

That would be funny.

Try your local welding shop Norco or Oxarc have some pretty cool ones. All are safety rated.
