I have just spoken with hobby people about placing an order for delivery to the UK and have been told I nee to fax a copy of the front and rear of my credit card along with a copy of a photo ID to them before they will process any orders.

I just really want to know if anybody on the forum has done this and if they have had any bad experiences.

Strange... I saw where Matt from Killer Hobbies has stopped overseas deliveries because of fraud. It must be related. Maybe Matt will explain when he sees this.

I made the post relating to Matt yesterday.

A real shame that Killer Hobbies have stopped international orders as they offer most of the parts that are required for the LST at good prices with excellent customer services. I suppose the odd one or two people have spoilt it for the rest of us now.

Does either Killer Hobbies or hobby people accept Paypal? If they shipped to a confirmed address, then they are protected from fraud. I would be leary of faxing all of that information to anyone. That makes it too easy for identity theft.

You might want to check out;

http://www.stormerhobbies.com/

It is getting difficult to find smaller retailers that ship internationally. I don't understand it myself. What does Tower Hobbies and Stomer know that the smaller retailers don't. I post the link to Stormer because they are a little quicker than Tower.

The only other thing to do is turn to the Hong Kong retailers.

I did this about 6 months ago and they processed my order with no problems. They also know on susequent orders that you have done this, so you don't need to do it with every order.

I scanned mine in and email the file to them.

OK guys. Don't freak out. We were having some problems with the USPS and a few international orders. We got that cleared up and re-enabled international shipping and also re-enabled USPS domestic shipping.

We have added a ton of new items including most of the Hot Racing items for the LST. We are also starting to get in most of the replacement parts for the Revo and Savage finally.

I have noticed that you guys are slacking on orders lately. Is everyone on vacation or something like that?

Anyway, thanks for everybody's support. We've come a long way since we first opened on January 1.

You can't confirm your address in the UK with PayPal, it has not been implemented over here yet which does cause problems when trying to purchace off e-bay as some Americans will only ship to a registerd address. You can confirm your Bank Account and Credit Card though.
