On my next order from Walkera is there any parts that you can think of that I need to go ahead and get? Do any of you need something from them? Thanks for the help!

I think that would be a great idea. Found some good prices in the far east, but the 5 week delivery is just a little too long.
tailrotor control linkages, main shaft, rotorheads (tail and main), blades, battery?, flaping hinge bar......and certainly some good upgrade parts from the T-REX, swash plate, rotor heads, others? (this requires a verified cross ref, as i wouldn't just drop money to experiment, hopefully that was already checked)

hope that helps. If the prices are pretty decent and you can ship in reasonable time, I would do biz with you (only because it seems you give a crap)

my 2cents.

all walkeria products are crap, want proof? my #39 tail servo wires fell off, tail belt was way too tight and no adjustment left had to redrill slot to alter, motor and esc burnt out, new motor also failed and needed repairs as the end housing "popped out" and I needed to drill screw and repair, and on it goes, tail rebuilt 3 times now and replaced with a te-rex unit which is ow lasting.......and sad but true lots of "glitches" in the transmitter so now its for sale and I am buying a te-rex NUFF SAID

Thanks mdb, I do give a crap. And if the stuff is crap, I won't sell it. Like I said, so far I have only tried the one type and I'm quite impressed.

Snappa, I know how you feel. But my Shogun gave me the same fits and it's supposed to be quality. I think helicopters are just work all the way around. Maybe ours came from a bad batch or something. I know from reading the multible threads that some Walkeras are better than others. Some are crap, and I don't want to deal in those. But I guess like anything else you get what you pay for. The Walkeras are a little cheaper but require a litte more TLC. I guess its a trade off.

Also a guy from SRC (Selective RC) Called me the other day trying to sell me his brand of helicopter. He said the first ones he had were coaxial blades. I said send me some data. It was straight off of Walkeras website except with his brand name on it. I cornered him about it and he admitted that Walkera was OEM the products for him. But he promised that as the name says "Selective" that he was going to do the same as me and check each modle out to only find the best and carry those. Who knows, he may have the jump on me. But at least everyone will have a place in the U.S. to get their stuff as he promissed to warranty direct to him.

how much do you want for it?
mine has blown the tail bearings and pullys to many times to remember but ive ordered trex parts for it, and it has crashed itself through radio problems about 3 times so ive ordered the 6ch spectrum radio, it turned up today :-)
i think 35mhz must be the same mhz as the speed controler makes, maybe?

Hi

39 walkera is a good product but take all electronic out and replace it by quality pieces (jr radio, tower pro servos etc) i still use walkera esc and speed but alingn kit as spare.

Do not buy walkera if you want to save money, You MUST trough radio and receiver (get ready to do the same with servos) to the garbage never fly collective pitch with walkera radio. All collective pitch must be flown with dual rate radio. I readed that in 36 forum few month ago, now i agree.

39 helico itself is as good as t-rex but not less expensive.

Well sorry to disagree with a few post here but the Walkera #39 is truely awfull. The quality sucks. Actually in direct comparisson with the T-rex the only thing that is really the same is the main frame. For everything else they have made it so cheap and poorly you are waisting your time. Better to pay the bit extra in the first place to get the T-Rex. The slop on the controls is a joke ........... believe me don't even think about it. If Walkera were a European or American company they would be shut down under the trade descriptions act....... they make toys that's all they are....... in the case of the Walkera #39 ....... a very dangerous toy!

I am surprised to hear that you will still deal with companies like that after they told you they will "select" the goods out for you. then sell the bad ones to other stores/consumer. Sounds like a meat market operation....

anyways... with all the stuff i have been reading around this forum... good luck on the support..

hi
ok so far i have fitted

Precision QNC Main Rotor Hub - T-REX 450X/XL Color Silver
http://www.microheli.com/mhshop/product_info.php?products_id=270

Precision Tail Pulley Case/Pulley Combo - T-REX 450X/XL
MH-TX4118FP
http://www.microheli.com/mhshop/product_info.php?products_id=241
this only needed a longer screw and some washers to pack down the leaver for the tail pitch

i also had the alloy pully and shaft fitted in the stock plastic houseing, but i got sick of the bearings wearing out

and am yet to try the alloy frount pully but it should fit
http://www.microheli.com/mhshop/product_info.php?products_id=197

if you buy any of these make sure you tell them kris from NZ put you onto them, because it was a risk i took to see if they fitted

the main thing to improve my 39 was the dx6 radio
i like the dsm spectrum setups, i have had a spectrum model in my 3pk i use for my serpent 950r for a while now, and it takes away all the hassle of radio worrys

I bought one from Pinnacle and it is flying very nice and stable. I put the 20-40 brushless motor on the heli (My #39 is an ARF version, no radio), it is powerful. I am using this heli to practice with all 3D stuff as it is cheap to maintain and repair for crash.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this t-rex clone from Walkera, and more curiously, if anyone knows of any online dealers who carry it?
It comes by default with a brushless setup which is nice, and the entire helicopter looks to be a direct clone of the t-rex, which is all so common with Walkera products.

Would be nice to pick one of these up cheap and then upgrade it with t-rex parts if they're intercompatible.

What radio are you using for #39?

Attention Krisnz!!!

Ive had the same glitch issues with 39 in that the thing keeps crashing due to the radio stuffin up. One minute hovering happily next minute up down left crash.

The Spektrum radio you got, which i assume came with servoes, is it any good? Ive been looking at it for a while now umming and arring.

Also, these 39s are incredibly cheap to fix -thank gawd- as I have just brought a barebones 39 and moved everything over from the old one. Now the 39 is really well balanced but im not flying until i get a new radio. After a few crashes my old chassis started to get really 'lose'. My most replaced part so far seems to be main blades, followed by main axis and aileron bar.

Anyway, would u recommend the Spektrum or not?

-Jared

hi Jazsa
i am very happy with the spectrum radio, it has heaps of cool stuff to set and play with also makes you fell a lot safer flying the heli knowing its not going to turn around and chase you
you could spend more money on a 9 or 14 chanel futaba with more features. but you still dont get the ghz, its just a pitty its not recomended for bigger helis, i would like to get a gas one soon

the servos seem ok but i have had to send one back for repacement it wouldn't self center it always went back past center, i had to take a nick out of one end of each servo to make the mounting holes wider but thats easy

if you didn't know the spectrum tx antenna is able to be kinked vertical so the radio wave is sent outwards, very nice

later
