I'm wondering if anyone has tried this t-rex clone from Walkera, and more curiously, if anyone knows of any online dealers who carry it?
It comes by default with a brushless setup which is nice, and the entire helicopter looks to be a direct clone of the t-rex, which is all so common with Walkera products.

Would be nice to pick one of these up cheap and then upgrade it with t-rex parts if they're intercompatible.

I bought one from Pinnacle and it is flying very nice and stable. I put the 20-40 brushless motor on the heli (My #39 is an ARF version, no radio), it is powerful. I am using this heli to practice with all 3D stuff as it is cheap to maintain and repair for crash.

plt= pitch limatation trim (lower is more revs les pitch higher for more pitch and more load on the motor)
pzt is pitch zero trim, with the stick right back it should have none or just a little positive pitch, thes dial wont work unless you unlock them at the back of your tx after you get them how you like them re lock them

ok?

Pinnacle website is misleading - the No. 39 helicopter they sell is the Helicopter Kit ONLY - but their detail make it look like a complete set with radio system, brushless motor & ESC, servos and battery

i made sure my wires from the battery wern't going around the side of the board at the end of the battery and i took the sharp edges off the chasi, so it had a leading edge to help the battery slip inplace, i also bought a gws gyro now i have way better tail control than with the walkera one only thing is it has no end poin adjustment, but once i get better tx and rx that will be fixed

Hi DEFLYER22,

I just visit Pinnacle web site and found Walkera 39# heli ARF, they only have kit version and from the photo shown, I didn't found any complete set with radio system, BL, ESC etc. It is just a bare bone from what I saw (see below photo)

However, I found another model which is Walkera 36# RTF version which is fully equipped will all stuff, may be you confused with 2 models.

Is the Walkera 39 really a T-rex clone?
Does the upgrade parts fit both models?

Thank you
Daniel

hi ,

heres some questions i hope you will be able to answer for me

1. when the batt is fully charged on the 39 the heli lifts off for about 15 seconds then it seems to go flat. why!

2. i can see the blades are a bit out when i get down to eye level , how do i adjust them and would this be the reason it only flys for such a short periord of time.!

3. why when on half power the rotors go fast but on full power they slow down!!!

4. what are the correct dip switch settings for the TX.

this 39 has a lot of potential if only i could get it set up correctly ,the manual that came with it is s**t its on the no 36 model and just does not make a lot of sence it is definatly written by a japenese person who is still trying to learn english, i just feel that there is something that im not doing right (power wise) to keep the heli in the air i mean can i "up" the power on it some how.

i hope you can help i think what i need is a step by step guide on how to do the all this

many thanks
Gary

so far i have fitted the trex tail shaft with the alloy pully and i have more parts comming ill let you know if they fit as well
also i fitted a cheap gws gyro and servos these have helped, but the gyro has no end point adjustment so i will get better radio gear soon
i fitted extra weights t
