Most all of the Sterling kits, molds and dies were destroyed in a fire prior to Estes taking over. So, what you see for sale on line is about all there is. If you want one, you're going to have to do some arm wrestling to get it.

Personally, I'd like to see SIG bring back some of the good ones.

Guess I better start tracing the parts from my collection of Sterling kits. Especially the Cub and Cessna 170

Actually, it'll get heavier. Beer weighs more than balsa wood.

Kyosho AgWagon - I never owned one, but for some reason I have always wanted one. I know it was an ARF, but I'd still like to see it brought back.

Not RC, but there are a number of Top Flite Jigtime rubber powered kits, a couple of their molded fuselage CL kits, and several large CL kits by the old Consolidated company. A couple years ago, at Toledo, I actually had the opportunity to by a couple of the Jigtime kits at the Goldberg booth. Built a lot of them as a kid.

ARF's are fine in this thread if the moderator doesn't step in.
I would like to see Hanger9 bring back the Sukhoi.

In the ARF field, I wouldn't mind the old Royal 40L, provided the beefed up the LG mounting, glued the joints, and had the same airfoil on both wing panels. Once I stripped the covering and rebuilt the one I had, it was a pretty decent flyer.

I've always had good luck with the stuff Midwest puts out. Tops would be the Strikemaster and the Hots. Then I'd like to see the Aerosports make a come back with a bolt on wing instead of rubberbands.

Ah lads you do bring back the memories!

I have been putting away kits since I was at school with the hope of someday building them - hopefully before retirement - but it looks as through retirement will catch up with me first.
From this side of the pond the American kits were just dreams for us teenagers however I do have a Tauri, Taurus, and Cessna 62 put away along with numerous CAP kits. Someday I will get around to building them.

For me however, the kit I would like to see rekitted would be the KeilKraft Super 60. I remember it well on the landing glide with the sound of reeds echoing over a disused WW2 airfield.

Keep up the excellent site.

All the best - keep sweeping up the poor landings.

Ah! Reed radios. NOT something I'd like to see come back. Club I was in just before going into the USAF was fortunate. One of the more rabid members had a 2nd class FCC commercial ticket. His Ford van was outfitted with enough equipment to do repair on these monstrosities, including accurate reed tuning. When he restocked the radios he sold at his hobby shop, they got a good going over before he sold them, so that the transmitter was usually peaked tighter than what it left the manufacturer as, and the reciever was bench tuned right on the money. Also, as the city Fire Chief, he made sure the department equipment was kept up to snuff in spite of the political nature of the city engineers office.
